INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL PROJECT COORDINATOR

We are looking for a responsible Industrial/Commercial Project Coordinator who prepares cost estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects and assists with managing project timelines and resources. This role involves analyzing construction drawings and specifications, doing take-offs and estimating, and gathering subcontractor proposals, and material costs to develop accurate estimates. It also consists in maintaining project schedules and liaising with clients, contractors, and vendors.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop an online file structure for all project documents including drawings, specifications, scope, timeline, bidders, etc.
- Perform or facilitate a material/item take-off from project drawings and/or establish the need, if any, for engineering support and/or drawing requirements
- Prepare scopes and detailed estimates
- Solicit RFQs from vendors and select the most qualified supplier(s)
- Work closely with the material & service suppliers to get all necessary materials and services procured and scheduled
- Actively monitor the schedule of the project
- Coordinate delivery schedules and shipping sequence with Project Management
- Manage project close-out documentation including as-built drawings, warranties, and other submittal requirements
- Take an active role in company-directed strategies and initiatives.
- Positively contribute to a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Support team members across departments as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Good working knowledge of construction-related documents such as plans and specifications, contract agreements and proposals, subcontracts, purchase orders
- Proficiency with office productivity tools including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT), Adobe Pro
- Preferred Bluebeam Revu, Construct Connect, ProEst, Buildertrend, Planswift, and Estimating Software proficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or construction management or related discipline or equivalent experience required
- 3-5 years minimum construction estimating. Structural steel/miscellaneous metals preferred
- Ability to read construction documents
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Detail-oriented
