SENIOR BOOKKEEPER

We are currently looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to manage and oversee the company’s financial records and bookkeeping processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial data, supporting budgeting and financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance

Accounts Receivable:

       Generating and sending invoices (QuickBooks Online)

       Receiving and recording payments

       Sending payment reminders

       Generating reports

       Handling collections

Accounts Payable:

       Managing vendor bills (bill.com)

       Scheduling and executing payments (ACH)

       Communicating with vendors

       Reconciling accounts payable

       Requesting and tracking COIs

       Gathering COIs and W-9s annually

Bookkeeping:

       Accrual-based bookkeeping

       (Potentially) Job costing for events

Payroll:

       Processing payroll (wages, taxes, deductions)

       Managing payroll records

       (Potentially) Handling payroll tax filings

Administrative:

       Handling government/city document filing (e.g., Secretary of State)

       Updating subcontractor contracts annually

       Requesting and delivering Certificates of Insurance (COIs)

       Production Support

       Gathering venue logistics (parking, floor plans, power specs)

       Collecting client design choices (colors, logos, monograms)

       Vendor Relations

       Nurturing vendor relationships (gifts, cards, etc.)

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

       3-5 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.

       Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and accrual-based bookkeeping.

       Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Microsoft Office Suite.

       Experience with accounts receivable, payable, and payroll processing.

       Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

       High attention to detail and accuracy.

       Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

       Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.

 

 POSITION SCHEDULE DETAILS

  • Full-time remote position
  • Monday - Friday (40 hours/week)
