TIER 3 NETWORK ENGINEER

We are looking for a highly skilled Tier 3 Wireless Network Support Engineer with deep expertise in radio frequency (RF) technology and fixed wireless equipment. This individual will serve as the highest level of technical support for our wireless network, ensuring service reliability, resolving escalated technical issues, and leading a team of support technicians.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Serve as the primary escalation point for advanced wireless network issues.

·       Troubleshoot and resolve complex RF and fixed wireless equipment issues.

·       Lead, train, and mentor a team of Tier 1 and Tier 2 support technicians.

·       Ensure all fixed wireless equipment in the network is appropriately maintained, up-to-date, and fully operational.

·       Respond to and manage network emergencies and service-impacting incidents.

·       Optimize network performance and support the development of proactive monitoring solutions.

·       Analyze trends in network issues to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.

·       Collaborate with other departments to support new installations, upgrades, and expansion efforts.

·       Improve the use of existing monitoring tools and assist in evaluating new solutions.

·       Maintain documentation of network infrastructure, issues, resolutions, and procedures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Proven experience in Tier 3 or senior-level ISP technical support.

·       Extensive knowledge of fixed wireless platforms: Cambium, Ubiquiti, Tarana, Baicells.

·       Strong understanding of RF theory, wireless networking, and broadband service delivery.

·       Experience with network monitoring systems (e.g., SNMP, NetXMS, The Dude, etc.).

·       Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under pressure.

·       Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to train and guide support staff.

·       Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

·       Willingness to respond to urgent network issues outside of regular working hours.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·       Certifications in wireless networking (e.g., CWNA, Cambium Certified, etc.).

·       Familiarity with network topology design and backhaul technologies.

·       Experience in network automation, scripting, or related technical skills is a plus.
