,SENIOR CONTROLLER

We are currently looking for Senior Controllers, who are responsible for providing clients with expert guidance and accurate financials. You will oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and internal processes. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and compliance with regulatory requirements while providing leadership to junior staff.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management
· Oversee all financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
· Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
· Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes to ensure compliance with deadlines and accuracy.
· Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Budgeting & Forecasting
· Lead the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
· Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing detailed variance analyses.
· Collaborate with department heads to develop and track key financial metrics.
Compliance & Risk Management
· Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory requirements.
· Oversee internal audits and coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
· Maintain compliance with tax laws, including preparation of tax filings and liaison with tax advisors.
· Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.
Leadership & Team Management
· Supervise and mentor a team of accounting and finance professionals.
· Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, and collaboration within the team.
· Collaborate with senior leadership to provide strategic financial guidance.
Strategic Initiatives
· Support the CFO in strategic decision-making, including mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, and capital investment analysis.
· Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
· Stay up to date on financial trends and provide insights to maintain a competitive edge.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
· 5 years of advanced accounting experience.
· 3+ years in public or multi-client accounting and 3+ years in private or corporate industry.
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance (MBA or Active CPA desired)
- 3 years of client-facing outsourced accounting experience +3 years in a supervisory role
- Solid experience with QuickBooks and various accounting software
- Expertise in Microsoft Suite, OneDrive, and Google Docs
- Established knowledge of GAAP & US Tax
- Strong ability to multi-task, routinely prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines
- Professional written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and on a team
- Responsive leadership style with a desire to coach and mentor peers
- Detailed research skills with the ability to articulate suitable accounting solutions

- Full-time remote position
- Monday - Friday (40 hours/week)
