,ACCOUNTING CONTROLLER

We are currently looking for an Accounting Controller. The Accounting Controller position primarily consists of billable accounting. In the accounting role, he/she serves as an outsourced senior-level accountant (controller or higher), responsible for managing accounting functions while also building and strengthening client relationships. He/she is responsible for new client intake and overseeing the transition process between sales and accountants. This position requires high levels of internal and external customer service and people management, integrity, technical proficiency, and the ability to maintain full confidentiality of sensitive data.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- · Detailing analysis and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and recording of business transactions
- · Performing and managing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement closing activities and the preparation of related financial statements and various ad hoc reports
- · Overseeing the processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management, ensuring deadlines for month-end close and financial reporting are met
- · Maintaining the Company’s chart of accounts, and reporting hierarchy, and ensuring the ongoing integrity of the Company’s financial accounting systems/structure
- · Ensuring accurate, timely direct and indirect tax and payment reporting
- · Identifying risk exposure and changes in regulations
- · Applying effective internal controls over financial reporting and process improvements
- · Leading continuous improvement accounting operations increasing automation and scale
- · Assisting in identifying and implementing revenue-generating and expense-saving opportunities
- · Performing other duties as needed to support the Accounting and Finance Department
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- · 4+ years of full-cycle accounting in public accounting or multi-client experience
- · 2+ years of supervisor experience Controller required
- · Have a consultative, problem-solving nature
- · Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and QuickBooks
- · Secondary education degree required – accounting or related field
- · Excellent administrative, organizational, time management, and follow-up skills
- · Competency in Google Docs, and ChatGPT, and other computerized accounting software
- · Maintain confidentiality of Client’s corporate, financial, and legal matters
- · Follows GAAP and US Tax guidelines
- · Be proactive, identify risks, and develop processes to improve those areas
- · Open to new ideas and change, stay curious.
- · Inventory Management and sales analysis
- · Professional level English communication skills both written and verbal (C1)
- · Bi-lingual Spanish/English desired
