ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE

We are currently seeking an Accounting Associate to play a key role in supporting our accounting and finance operations. This position assists in maintaining accurate financial records, processing payables, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely entry of daily transactions. Success in this role means being detail-oriented, organized, and able to collaborate with the financial controller, financial analyst, and venue operators to ensure accurate reporting, smooth financial processes, and a timely month-end close.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting Support (Daily / Weekly)

        Import daily sales journals and monitor for accuracy against our point-of-sale system.

        Collaborate with venue operations to ensure accurate cash reporting and reconcile petty cash balances.

        Reconcile tips and service charges payable with each payroll period.

        Enter weekly payroll accruals and bi-weekly payroll journals to ensure accurate labor reporting.

        Monitor transactions in QuickBooks, Ramp, Toast, and Stripe for accuracy and completeness.

 

 Accounting Support (Monthly)

        Perform monthly credit card and bank reconciliations. Follow up with managers for missing data.

        Reconcile inter-company balances across venues.

        Reconcile balance sheet accounts for third party platforms, inventory, and various short-term assets / liabilities

        Prepare monthly sales tax prepayments and quarterly sales tax returns for Financial Controller’s review

        Review full balance sheet / P&L using month-close checklist. Prepare month-end summary for Financial Controller

 

Accounts Payable & Expense Management

        Assist culinary / venue team with processing accounts payable, ensuring accurate line-item coding

        Reconcile monthly vendor statements

        Manage new vendor onboarding and assist with end of year 1099 processing.

Necessary Technology Proficiency

  • Toast – POS system (sales reporting)
  • Craftable – AP management, inventory, and reporting
  • Paychex – Payroll processing (support role)
  • QuickBooks – Financial accounting and reporting
  • Ramp – Expense tracking and approval workflows
  • Shogo – Sales mapping for Toast POS system

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

·       1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.

·       Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.

·       Experience in QuickBooks(mandatory), Ramp, and Toast.

·       Proficient in English to communicate directly with the Financial Controller and the venue team
